Job Description 

• Participate in technical analysis meetings in collaboration with the technical architects and business analysts.
• Coding and unit testing.
• Mentoring and cross training junior team members on the product and technology
• Contribute to the maintenance and customization of products at various client code streams.
• Collaborate with team members in Chennai and Toronto and come up with optimized design approaches to complex technical issues.
• Monitor product build and triage build issues.
• Support QA team
• Work closely with the Business analysis and architecture teams.

Requirements

• Graduate in computer science or equivalent – BE or BTech or MCA or Msc (CS)
• Total overall experience – 5 to 7 years
• working with Object-Oriented design and development in JAVA / J2EE.
• core JAVA programming experience.
• SQL, Oracle PL/SQL programming experience is must.
• Must have good knowledge in RDBMS concepts and data modelling
• Experience with web UI design & development (JSP, HTML, Java script, CSS, etc).
• Experience with automated unit testing (e.g. JUNIT framework).
• Good knowledge in UNIX or LINUX and shell scripting.
• Some experience with IBM Cognos or Tapestry is clearly an advantage.
• Must have good communication and inter-personal skills.
• Mentoring and cross training experience.
• Be able to follow intensive on-the-job coaching and to become productive within the shortest period of time.
• Must be a quick learner with good attitude and problem solving skills.
• Must be a good team player with capacity to work in a worldwide, distributed team across different time zones.
