Title: Software Development Engineer (SDE I )
Location: Bangalore
Role Description (Scope, Complexity and Impact) :
Performs entry-level professional software development tasks associated with the modification, design, development and debugging of software applications.
Draws from existing decision guidelines to make recommendations and decisions.
Writes code under clearly defined program specifications. code is usually reviewed
Executes small scale projects and/or plays a role in aspects of a larger project. Crafts solutions for problems that are structured.
Builds fault tolerant software for lowest operational tax as possible
Reports status of project progress in timely and accurate fashion, using available metrics.
Resolves software bugs in the day to day operations
Makes recommendations for process improvements/ automations in the day to day operations
May write or contribute to tech specs
Technical Skills :
Proficient in at least one programming language and its development environment
Understands and uses basic object oriented analysis and design skills.
Understands and uses basic data structures and algorithms.
Understands and follows best practices for essential software engineering areas, including testing, software version control, software development cycle, code documentation, build and deployment issues.
Basic understanding of performance and capacity tradeoffs.
Education:
Typically from a tier 1 engineering college. Could be a B. Tech or M.Tech from the streams of IT, CS.
Experience:
Typically 1-4 years of relevant engineering work experience.
Span of Control:
Individual contributor
Desired Candidate Profile:
Proficient in at least one programming language and its development environment
Product Development
Data structures and algorithms.
OOA and and design skills
Note : BE / B.Tech -Computer Science from from a tier 1 engineering college
